As the creative force, chief wrangler and control freak, Mark Davis oversees every creative aspect of RM&G. A Cleveland, Ohio native who earned his BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design, Mark spent two years at Morgan Studios, a Cleveland-based design agency specializing in cosmetic packaging before heading west. The California wine country was calling his name.
An entrepreneur at heart, Mark decided to open his own agency in the wine country with fellow designer Richard Mapes and account manager Linda Gibbs. The agency's name Robert Mather & Gibbs was a compilation of the middle and last names of the principles. In 2010, Robert Mather & Gibbs celebrated 29 years as a full service advertising and design agency. A few corks were popped.
Over the last twenty-eight years, Mark has developed long standing relationships with clients including: Foster's Wine Estates, Constellation Brands, Delicato Family Vineyards, Jackson Family Wines, Vintage Wine Estates, Ferrari Carano, Pernod Ricard, Darcy's Fine Jewelers, Aveniu Brands, Airport Business Center and Jack & Tony's Restaurant. Many of these collaborations have led to award winning designs and even more importantly, sales success stories for their clients. Cheers!
Mark lives with his wife Leslie and step-daughter Melissa, a senior at Montgomery High School, while daughter Sarah, who lives nearby, drops by for the occasional dinner and laundry when not working at Banana Republic, the LAB, or going to Santa Rosa Junior College. Older Daughter Katie attends Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA, while being a Gap manager in Bellingham. Mark's down time is spent being a skier, avid reader, traveler, social gadfly and of course, wine enthusiast.
